I'm sure most people can agree, but to see the Dudley Boys return to WWE television last week gave me goosebumps.
For me though I had them for definitely different reasons. For 6 months I've had the honor and blessing to be able to learn from these two minds on a weekly basis. I've heard their opinions, their stories, their contrasting viewpoints on wrestling and mostly anything else related to it.
All of us students crowded around the television in the gym and watched as the fireworks exploded and out stepped our trainers in all of their glory, sending the New Day through tables and finishing them off with their signature moves. It was a weird feeling, because it brought me back to a different time.

No big deal, just watching our trainers return on WWE Raw. (Photo Credit: Cruz)
It brought me back to going to House Shows with my dad in DC or Baltimore and seeing them there. Brought me back to a time when I only had dreams of even stepping into a ring. Even sometimes I take THAT for granted, because at one time I had dreams of just stepping through those ropes. Now I criticize myself for what I do in the ring and on the outside of it. But maybe, I should appreciate every day more of what I do have!
Some have asked does it mean that they are gone from the school or if the school is shutting down? Nope! The school is better than ever and if you have ever considered living your dream I would jump in NOW.
For me, I was sick all last week with a stomach virus. It knocked me down pretty hard and it was only yesterday that I got back into a gym. I'm feeling aggravated and drained but I look forward to getting in some work today before finally returning to in ring training tomorrow.
Speaking of which, some may have noticed on social media a bit of a name change. Jessie Kaye is gone and Kennadi Brink has replaced her? With my evolution from a girl to a woman and my insecurities into confidence I felt it was only right for a name to follow this evolution, focused on my idols and influences. I'm hoping to debut this name on shows in the upcoming months, but that is to be determined by the Dudleys themselves. I feel like we are getting close to unleashing the Brink!
Looking to write some more in this blog. I had gotten side tracked as anticipated but want to do more. With much love,
Kennadi Brink
